You pay once, and only after you have chosen a helper and she has accepted your offer.

The digital service includes:

• Choosing your helper
• Appointment checks
• Overseas medical
• Consular document fees
• The Immigration Department visa fee
• A standard handover: at the airport for overseas arrivals, or at the Immigration Department in Tseung Kwan O for helpers already in Hong Kong

A Hong Kong medical check and extra pickup are optional and charged separately.

No. Optional extras are quoted before you pay, and your signed service agreement lists every fee.

After the helper accepts your offer and you sign the service agreement. Nothing is charged before that.

No. The price is the same whether the helper is overseas or already in Hong Kong.

The Immigration Department says 90% of applications are finalised within 6 weeks after all required documents are received. Helpers coming from overseas also need consulate, medical and, for first-time helpers, training steps, so allow more time.

Yes. Interviews are online video calls that you book in the app.

Not at the moment. We handle hires of helpers you choose on HelperXpress.

The Immigration Department asks every employer to show they can afford a helper. For one helper, any one of:

• household income of at least HK$15,000 a month,
• savings enough to cover the helper's wages and costs for the 2-year contract, usually about HK$360,000 to HK$400,000, or
• income and savings combined.

• A copy of your HKID
• Address proof: a utility bill or a rates demand note in your name, issued within the last 3 months
• Proof of income or savings, such as your latest tax demand note, 3 months of bank statements showing your salary, payslips or an employment letter, or a fixed-deposit statement

You don't need them to send an offer. We need them before your application is submitted.

Yes. You can qualify with savings, or with income and savings combined.

It depends on the reason:

• Because of the helper, or because we can't provide the agreed service: you choose a replacement helper with the replacement fee waived, or a full refund of the HelperXpress service fee. The only exception is any third-party amount we told you in advance can't legally be refunded.
• Because of your documents or eligibility, or because you change your mind after the helper has accepted: the service fee is not refunded.

This applies whether or not you choose HelperXpress Care.

Optional 2-year protection for HK$1,500 (usually HK$2,000). It includes:

• A 3-month warranty: if a replacement helper is needed within the first 3 months of employment, we arrange one for a HK$6,500 processing fee.
• Reimbursement of eligible hiring costs up to HK$5,000, under the insurer's policy terms.
• Outpatient and hospital cover for your helper.

Claims are subject to the insurer's policy wording, eligibility and exclusions.

With HelperXpress Care, the 3-month warranty applies: we arrange a replacement for a HK$6,500 processing fee. Without HelperXpress Care, no replacement is included, so hiring again is a new hire.

Hong Kong law requires every employer to have employees' compensation insurance for their helper. HelperXpress Care adds outpatient and hospital cover, the 3-month warranty and reimbursement of hiring costs. Check the policy summary for exactly what is covered, or ask our team.

Helpers appear as “Helper #XXXX” until you hire. Names can't be searched and dates of birth stay private. This protects helpers and keeps every family's choice fair.

No. Your phone and WhatsApp are never shared with helpers. You meet them through HelperXpress interviews.

HK$5,220 a month for contracts signed on or after 3 October 2026 (the Minimum Allowable Wage). You must also provide free food, or a food allowance of at least HK$1,236 a month.
